Our Strategic Priorities
To realize our mission and vision, RAN focuses on three interconnected strategic pillars:

Our research is informed by a scientific, data-driven resilience framework tailored for Sub-Saharan Africa. This framework builds on years of experience and collaboration across universities, communities, and development partners serving as the foundation for impactful resilience research and innovation.

We work directly at the individual, household, and community level to test and scale innovations that improve the general well-being of communities. These innovations, whether digital tools, agricultural technologies, or social interventions, are identified, incubated, and refined in collaboration with local partners and users.

We are building and leveraging a network of multidisciplinary scholars from HEIs to engage in research and innovation. Through collaborative problem-solving, global mentorship, and real-time case challenges, we engage faculty, students, and experts from across Sub-Saharan Africa in co-developing scalable research and solutions for Africa’s most pressing development challenges.
