Objectives
This study aimed to exlpore and analyze evidence pointing to the social and economic impacts of digital identification systems in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
Cases where no net benefit from DID systems is determined will be reported alongside “positive deviant” cases studied. To note where quantifiable improvements over previous (either non-digital or ID-less) approaches, and impactful (perhaps unanticipated) bottlenecks or drawbacks introduced with the introduction of a DID system (e.g., a finding that a lack of digital literacy among the DID-holding population was a linchpin for achieving benefit with the system). Recommendation: Provide some additional context about this project. Stating the objective as currently provided in the projects sheet may not be adequate. More context may make the messaging more effective.
