The Legon Centre for Education Research and Policy (LECERP) at the University of Ghana recently hosted a two-day foresight analysis workshop aimed at strengthening the long-term resilience of Ghana’s education system. The workshop, held on 4–5 March 2026, brought together over 30 stakeholders from government, academia, civil society, development partners, and the education sector to identify risks, explore future scenarios, and co-design strategies for a more resilient and inclusive education system.
The event forms part of the Africa Regional Education Systems Resilience Observatory (ARESRO) project, funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and coordinated by the Resilient Africa Network at Makerere University. Discussions and outcomes from the workshop will contribute to policy briefs, a comprehensive report, and a roadmap to support long-term education planning and ensure uninterrupted quality learning for all learners in Ghana.
